On a luxury or exotic car, a hidden repaint, a damaged carbon panel or a skipped major service can cost thousands. This inspection is the full modern inspection, done more slowly, with a detailed paint map, 80+ photos and a cold-start video, so you know exactly what you’re buying.
For luxury, performance and exotic vehicles, model year 2006 and newer. Older vehicles use the Classic Car Inspection.
Instead of one paint-meter reading per panel, I take several—front, middle and back—on every body panel and show them on a diagram. On these cars, paint is a big part of the value, and a partial respray is easy to miss with a single reading.
Paint protection film, vinyl wraps and ceramic coatings are common on high-end cars. They protect the paint, but they can also hide chips, poor repairs or a color change. I note what’s on the car and where.
About twice the usual photo set: every wheel, the engine bay, the underside where visible, interior wear spots, trim and badges—useful for your decision, your insurer and your records.
When the seller allows it, I record the engine starting cold and include the video in your report. It shows starting behavior, idle and any noises or smoke that disappear once a car is warm.
I schedule extra time on site, so nothing is rushed: panel fit, wheels, interior materials, electronics and the road test all get a slower, closer look.

Inspections are hands-on but non-invasive: I test, scan, measure and road-test the vehicle without taking parts apart. Dealer-only checks that need the manufacturer’s factory software are not included. The report is a condition snapshot, not a warranty, valuation or guarantee against future problems.
