ONE INSPECTOR. PERSONAL ATTENTION.
Meet your inspector, Antone Hempstock.

Your inspection is handled personally by an ASE-Certified Master Automobile Technician. Seattle Vehicle Inspections is a small, independent mobile inspection business based in the Olympia area, Washington.
When you find a vehicle, I go to the seller’s location and document its condition so you have a clearer picture before deciding to buy.
Talk with your inspector →Qualified to look beyond the listing
I hold an active ASE Master Automobile Technician certification. That qualification supports a careful approach to inspecting accessible vehicle systems, recording measurements and diagnostic findings, and explaining concerns in plain English.
The goal is practical information you can use: what was observed, where an issue was found, and what deserves attention before purchase. Learn about ASE certification ↗.
The experience behind your inspection
I’ve spent more than 30 years in the automotive inspection industry. I founded Lemon Squad in 2007 and later sold the business. Today, I stay hands-on through Seattle Vehicle Inspections, personally inspecting vehicles and explaining the findings to buyers. Read more about my professional background on my personal website.
Independent findings, without a repair sales pitch
This business provides inspections and reports, not repairs or maintenance. Whether the car is at a dealership or a private seller’s home, the inspection focuses on documenting the vehicle’s condition for you.
What happens during your inspection?
- Coordinate access. You provide the vehicle details, seller’s contact information, full location and any particular concerns. An inspection date is confirmed separately.
- Inspect the vehicle. Checks cover accessible exterior, interior, engine-compartment and underbody components, supported diagnostics, tires and wheels. Road testing depends on seller permission and safe conditions.
- Document the findings. Your report brings together written observations, tire brand, size and tread measurements where accessible, photos and any uploaded videos.
- Review from anywhere. You receive an email when the report is published. Sign in with your email to see it in your secure account.
Modern vehicles and classics
The Modern Used Car Inspection covers vehicles 20 years old and newer, including gasoline, diesel, hybrid and electric vehicles. The Classic Car Inspection is for older vehicles, with additional attention to age-related wear, visible corrosion and previous repairs. Compare the $299 and $399 packages.
Fully insured mobile inspection service
Seattle Vehicle Inspections is fully insured. Have an insurance question or does the seller need coverage information before allowing access? Contact me before the appointment.
Mobile service across our Washington service area
I travel to vehicles across our Washington service area from my Olympia-area base, from roughly an hour south of Olympia to Bellingham, about two hours east of I-5, and across the entire Olympic Peninsula. You do not need to be at the inspection. Check the cities and regions we serve.
Beyond vehicle inspections
Outside my inspection work, I write about music, Nintendo gaming and independent culture at Punk Rock Press. You can also explore my books and Antone Outdoors on YouTube.
Clear expectations before you book
An inspection is a visual, non-invasive assessment of the vehicle at the time of the visit. Findings help inform a buying decision; they do not guarantee future reliability or replace the inspection terms. Any limitations are recorded in the report.
