Condition in context

We document accessible body and finish condition, visible corrosion or previous repair concerns, interior condition, engine-compartment observations, tires, wheels and other accessible mechanical components. Share known modifications and specific concerns when placing your order.

The inspection report combines written findings with photos and available measurements. Individual tire and wheel entries help you review brand, size, tread depth and visible issues. Road testing depends on safety and seller permission.

Arrange a classic inspection at the seller’s location

For a Seattle vehicle, review our Seattle mobile inspection service alongside the classic-car scope above. Our out-of-state buyer service explains how to receive and discuss the report from elsewhere.

Our mobile service area covers our large Washington service area, from roughly an hour south of Olympia to Bellingham, about two hours east of I-5, and across the entire Olympic Peninsula. We confirm travel and seller access before setting the date.

This is a visual, non-invasive condition inspection. It does not certify authenticity, matching numbers, restoration quality, value, future reliability or warranty coverage. Vehicles 20 years old and newer use the $299 Modern Used Car Inspection.

See how we turn inspection findings into useful answers

Here’s how our inspection approach connects photos, measurements and plain-English observations to your purchase decision.

These walkthroughs use our demonstration reports and illustrative sample photos. They are not accounts of completed customer inspections. Photos show the area discussed; measurements and scan results are recorded separately in the report.

Look beyond the shiny exterior

The recorded findingThe classic sample documents rust near a seam in the metal floor, alongside paint differences at the left rear quarter.

What it means for youLocation and extent matter. Accessible-area photos help you identify what needs closer evaluation; a tidy exterior cannot establish the condition of concealed areas.

A useful question before buyingWhat is the repair scope, and does it fit your plans and budget?

Good road-test behavior does not erase visible wear

The recorded findingThe classic sample records straight controlled stops, but also surface cracks on a flexible brake hose.

What it means for youThe report calls for replacement of the deteriorated hose before further driving. We explain important individual findings rather than letting one reassuring observation cancel another concern.

A useful question before buyingCan the deteriorated hose be replaced before the vehicle is driven?
