An attractive listing can be a long way from home. Before arranging travel or transport, separate the seller’s description from information you can verify independently. A mobile inspection lets you obtain a condition report on a vehicle in our Washington service area while you stay where you are.

Verify the car and the seller first

Confirm the VIN, mileage, exact location and contact details. Request current photographs, available service records and the seller’s description of known concerns. Check that the car will still be available for an inspection before planning around it.

A history report can add context about a vehicle’s past, while an inspection records observable condition at the appointment. The FTC advises buyers not to treat vehicle history as a substitute for an independent inspection. Neither source answers every question on its own.

Arrange access without being there

Tell the seller an independent mobile inspector will come to the car. Confirm that keys, safe access and a reachable contact will be available. For dealer purchases, include the dealership name and the person responsible for the vehicle. You do not need to attend our inspection.

Coverage includes Seattle, Lynnwood, the Eastside, Tacoma, Olympia, the Olympic Peninsula, Leavenworth and Wenatchee. Use the actual address in your order and call if the car is in an outlying location. Scheduling depends on travel, availability and seller access.

Leave room in your plans to read the findings

Avoid treating a target inspection date as a guaranteed completion or travel deadline. We confirm the date separately and aim for completion by the end of the next business day when access, availability and safe conditions permit.

Once the report is published, an email links you to sign in. Read the findings with the photographs and any uploaded videos. If something needs repair, seek an appropriate estimate and discuss it with the seller before deciding whether to proceed.

Keep the inspection separate from the transaction

Our service assesses accessible vehicle condition. It does not handle purchase funds, confirm title ownership, arrange transport, or guarantee a transaction. Ask the relevant state agencies about registration, taxes and title requirements for your situation rather than assuming the rules match your home state.

Confirm the sale terms directly with the seller and review any shipping or collection arrangements separately. An inspection can help inform your decision, but it is not a guarantee against fraud or future vehicle problems.

Choose the report that fits the vehicle

Modern Used Car Inspection is $299 for vehicles 20 years old and newer. Older vehicles use the $399 Classic Car Inspection. The same age rule applies whether the vehicle is gasoline, diesel, hybrid or electric.

Explore the sample reports before ordering so you know how the findings are presented. Send the questions that would affect your buying decision with the order, especially when you cannot view the car yourself.

A CLOSER LOOK · FEWER SURPRISES

From a finding to a better buying question

Here’s how our inspection approach connects photos, measurements and plain-English observations to your purchase decision.

These walkthroughs use our demonstration reports and illustrative sample photos. They are not accounts of completed customer inspections. Photos show the area discussed; measurements and scan results are recorded separately in the report.

Tread depth is only part of the story

The recorded findingOur modern sample records 4/32 inch on the left front tire and uneven outer-shoulder wear.

What it means for youWe record each tire separately. Uneven wear deserves attention even when some tread remains; a photo and measurement help you understand the finding.

A useful question before buyingWhat would tire replacement and evaluation of the uneven wear cost?

Look beyond the shiny exterior

The recorded findingThe classic sample documents rust near a seam in the metal floor, alongside paint differences at the left rear quarter.

What it means for youLocation and extent matter. Accessible-area photos help you identify what needs closer evaluation; a tidy exterior cannot establish the condition of concealed areas.

A useful question before buyingWhat is the repair scope, and does it fit your plans and budget?
