Seattle pre-purchase inspections: choose by vehicle age

Arrange access before the appointment
For a dealership purchase, give us the dealership name and the person handling the sale. For a private sale, provide the seller’s name, phone number and complete vehicle address. Confirm that the seller agrees to an independent inspection and can make the keys available.
Tell us where the vehicle will actually be
A listing may say Seattle while the car is stored elsewhere. Use the actual inspection address in your order. Let the seller know we need safe access around the vehicle and permission for a road test; a street listing or meeting location alone may not provide suitable inspection conditions.
Buying remotely in Seattle
You do not have to meet us at the car. Your online report brings together written findings, photographs, tire and wheel observations, and any uploaded videos. Share specific concerns from the listing when ordering so the inspector has that context.
Where Seattle cars are usually found
Seattle listings come from dealer lots along Aurora Avenue North and Lake City Way, from private sellers in neighborhoods from Ballard to Rainier Valley, and from apartment and condo garages downtown. Tight garages and street parking can limit access to the underside and a road test, so ask the seller whether the car can be moved to a safe, level spot.

Review clear findings, photos and any uploaded videos in your secure online account. An email lets you know when the report is published.

Before you place your order
Enter the car information first, then the seller’s contact details and full vehicle address, followed by your name, phone and email. Dealer orders also require the dealership name. Pay securely through Square; we coordinate access and confirm your inspection date separately.

Use the complete street address where the vehicle and keys will be available. A listing labeled “Seattle” may refer to a broader area. Confirm the location with the seller before ordering; we use it to coordinate the inspection.
Should I book my trip to collect the car first?
Keep your travel plans flexible until we confirm the inspection date with the seller. You don’t need to attend. Review the report and use your included phone walkthrough to discuss findings before deciding whether to travel or complete the purchase.
